The first run of the day came in at 1133 hours for a reported fuel spill on Route 301 at Route 405 where a truck lost a 55 gallon drum of heating oil.  Engine 52 arrived to find approximately twenty gallons that had spilled with Lieutenant Collins assuming Command.  Due to the amount spilled Special Unit 59 w/ the Support Trailer was requested to the scene for additional supplies.  The five volunteers diked the area and utilized absorbent pads to contain the spill.  After only five minutes into this incident, Rescue Local 0502 was struck for an MVC on Clark Corner Road near Hayden Road.  EM-2 en route to the fuel spill, arrived first to find a three vehicle MVC with multiple patients.  Engine 52 arrived w/ Lieutenant Collins assuming Command and requested an additional EMS unit on the assignment along with the other units responding.  MSP aviation was requested for two Category B patients (one adult & one child).  The crews from E52 & Rescue 4 assisted the EMS units with patient care and packaging.  PM4 transported the two patients to the Centreville hangar for transport to Shock Trauma by MSP Trooper 2, PM600 transported one adult & one child, A70 transported two children (both units went to Chester River Medical Center).  The driver of the delivery truck refused treatment.  At 1536 hours Box 0402 was struck for a gas leak at the Centreville United Methodist Church on Church Hill Road.  Chief 5 (in the area) arrived behind PM4 and assumed Church Hill Road Command.  After a brief investigation, Command held Engine 44 & Tower 4 placing the balance available.  E55 staffed w/ six returned to quarters prior to arrival.  Then again at 1944 hours Box 0402 was struck, this time a reported gas leak at 305 North Commerce Street.  Company 4 arrived to find a three story single family dwelling w/ nothing evident.  Command quickly held the assignment to Company 4 units and E55 w/ 6, E52 w/ 5 & Chief 5 returned to quarters prior to arrival.
