The Fire House

Station 5 is located at 316 Main Street on the south end of Church Hill in what is commonly called downtown. The three bay fire house was built in 1950 with two bays and a third bay added in 1968 to house the old tractor trailer tanker. The Department is currently in the process of a feasibility study to determine if the station can be renovated and provide a new addition or if the current station should be demolished and a new station constructed in its place. We should have a final direction by mid spring of 2008.
