Brush 5 served CHVFD for 28 years. It was equipped with a 250 gallon tank and a 400 gpm Hale pump.
This unit was purchased used in 1996 and initially responded on medical assists as Special Unit 59. The unit was re-purposed in 2005 into a command vehicle and responded as Chief 5.
CHVFD obtained this used 1985 Chevrolet Blazer from Huls America (formerly Tennaco of Worton, MD) and the membership put in the effort to clean and paint this vehicle for our use.
