
Engine & Tower On Chestertown Dwelling Fire
Engine 55 and Tower Ladder 5 responded on Kent County Box 6001, for a dwelling fire at 212 Rolling Road, in the college heights section of Chestertown. First arriving units from Kent County reported a working fire in a single story dwelling. Tower Ladder 5 was directed to perform ventilation of the structure and Engine 55 was assigned the RIT function. Several windows were taken out and two ventilation holes were cut in the roof. Quick work was made of the fire, which was seated in the kitchen of the home. Unfortunately, a canine that was in the structure, perished. Hilltop crews took up and returned to Queen Anne’s after approximately 60 minutes.
