Site Work Continues – Pier’s, Footers and Plumbing
Site work is moving along on our new fire station. Workers have faced several delays and setbacks due to the rainy weather, but crews are finally gaining some traction. The retaining wall has been mostly finished, aside from aesthetic brick work which will cover some of the north wall. Concrete footers, piers and other below ground site work is nearing completion. Floor drains were put in place today and we expect to be pouring the concrete slabs within two weeks. Around the same time, the steel members for the new building will be arriving on site. We should start to see steel erection in the middle of August, which is expected to last 8-9 weeks. We are still on target for a early 2020 move-in.
